Problem Description:

Where am I? The flag is LITCTF{latitude, longtitude} rounded to the third decimal place. (Example: LITCTF{42.444,-71.230})

Hints:

Reveal Hints none

I’ve got no geoguesser skills so I’ll need to “cheat”. Google is a very powerful tool, if only it worked visually. Zooming in we can see google maps copyright text showing us the year and the fact that this is a streetview image.

Oh wait it does. Not the reverse image search, but Google Lens! We can simply open the image by dragging it from the Downloads to the middle of the browser, right click “Search image with Google”. The sidebar that pops up is tiny so we’ll open it in a new tab instead. Let’s focus our searching rectangle on the suspcious metallic structure first.

Various similar images with one of them saying Pictures of Oak Hammock Toll Gantry

Two results that makes sense hint to us that this structure is all toll gantry. We can confirm this by googling pictures of a “toll gantry”. Now let’s narrow down the locations of where this toll gantry could be. We can zoom into some numerical signs that look blurry.

blurry 87 and 287 or 297

These are signs for the Interstates in America. Squint a bit at you can see the first is I87. The second looks like either I287 or I297 but we can google and find out I297 does not exist so it is I287.

i87 on a small map shows it's near new york i287 on a small map shows it's even closer to new york

Now we google new york toll gantry on maps. We can see blueish stuff in the back so we assume there’s water and it’s over a bridge.

a bridge on google maps will toll road.

Tolls usually happen on the ends of the bridges so we check each end of the results. A quick way to narrow down the toll gantries is to check if they have the light behind them in the original picture. weird arrow lights.

Another way is by checking for the textual display. Eventually we end up at our answer.

final dest. The photo is from 2023 but you can go back in the ui and the original seems to have some depth distortion but the coords work.
